I am in the market for a new laptop. I need it to be cheap and able to play The Sims 3. I have stumbled across the Gateway M-682720/Gateway-M-6827-15-4-Widescreen/#]Gateway M-6827[/url]Its right in my price range and if it meets the min. system requirements then it will be the one I am going to get.

    The gateway's specs are:
    Core2duo T5750 (2.0ghz)
    3gb pc2-5300 memory
Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (384MB Shared)
    Vista Home Premium

    Sims 3 Min. system requirements:

    Vista (Service Pack 1)
Processor: Pentium: IV 2.4 GHz / Athlon XP 2400+
    Memory: 2.0 GB
Graphics: GeForce Go 6200 / Radeon mobile 9600
    Graphics: 128 MB

My main concern is the graphics card will the Intel Integrated graphics be comparable to the graphics requirements of the game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd look into a laptop with a better video card. That video card is pretty bad overall. You might be able to play it but I doubt it.

Nice. Are you planning on installing XP on that?
