Processor Replace...

    Is it possible to replace my eMachine W5243 processor with a different processor like Intel i7 and other kind of processor?

    if correct that cpu is a socket 939 from amd so to replace with i7 or similar means new motherboard & ram as yours is ddr2 wereas i7 uses ddr3.

    So what kind of processor Matched my eMachine W5243 with other getting a new motherboard?? I just want a fast and good processor for my motherboard....

    they don't make socket 939 cpu's anymore just like they don't make socket 939 motherboards. the fastest you might get is an AMD Athlon™ 64 4000+.

    So where do i buy that? BTW if i want to replace my motherboard and processor, BTW if im replacing it, do i need to buy those graphic cards and stuff to make it work? AND Does the stuff on my emachine support it, like power supply and HDD and the DVD/cd thing and other things too?

    can check ebay or search the net i i did for all this info for you. get a no-name(not emachine, dell, hp) tower with new psu. don't know what your videocard is as onboard or slot. according to the specs your hd is ok & presume your dvd burner is too.

    Thanks but it's like building a new computer already LMSAO video card and MotherBoard and Processor and Tower case Plus power supply...



    THANKS for the help, i'll think about getting stuff for my emachine...
