Processor?

    Witch one will be better?

    AMD Athlon™ Processor Family
    Athlon X2 6400+ 'Black Edition'(3.2GHz, 125W, 2MB total dedicated L2 cache, 2000MHz HyperTransport™ bus, socket AM2 ) $163

    Or

    AMD Phenom™ X3 Triple-Core Processor
    Phenom 8650 (2.3GHz, 95W, 1.5MB total dedicated L2 cache, 2MB L3 cache, 3600MHz HyperTransport™ bus, socket AM2+) $165

    And this is the motherboard I have is this a good mother board and will it support the tri core?

    Well that depends. If you are into gaming then the 6400+ will absolutely waste its counterpart at 3.2Ghz speed per core and since most games only use two cores well then there you have it. Even if you are not into gaming it is better to go for a chip that has proved itself in the AMD family. Yep 6400+ all the way. I guarantee you you will have no regrets.

    What is the highest CPU supported by the 590 motherboard?
    Answer / Solution
    The highest CPU the nForce 590i SLI (NF59) motherboard supports is the AMD X2 6000+ 3.0GHz. The 6400+ and AM2+ CPU’s such as AMD Phenom chips are not supported.
