Is here any program out there(free or have to buy) comparable or better than Videoredo. I'm looking for something that lets me cutout portions of scenes and also fix audio/video synce issues. Videoredo was good but I want to try something else.
One program that shows promise and is free is avidemux, I'm still learning to use it but it has proven excellent at removing commercials from my avi (xvid) recordings (doesn't have commercial skip like videoredo). It actually is frame accurate when editing avi's (other avi editors edit only at the k-frames) and the saving is quicker than videoredo (no reencoding needed). It is also capable of editing mpegs, but have not tested it fully, but it has a similar look to videoredo. I've actually used it to edit a 700mb avi, mainly to crop it, this required reencoding, using the 2-pass method, the task took less than a hour and the finished avi had good video quality and the audio stayed in audio sync. I was surprised that I got good results on my first try. http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/screenshots.html
