Program for fixing incorrect MP3 tags / labels

    You know what I'm talking about... 5 different names for the same artist. A "(1)" after half the songs. I've tried a bunch, including MusicMatch and a lot the do-it-yourself taggers. The best one I've found so far is FixTunes:

    It actually does what it claims to do. Anyone have any other programs that do this well? I have way to many songs to fix the tags by name. So far, FixTunes seems to be the winner.

    Buy the CDs and rip + encode yourself - then you won't have this kind of trouble. ;)

    For tagging and tag -> filename and or filename -> tag conversion there are several programs. I've used foobar2000 only recently, because it does all I need, but for the usage you describe, there might be better sollutions; I've read some positive comments about something called "The Godfather". http://users.otenet.gr/~jtcliper/tgf/
