I recently installed something that put a dodgy trojan/ad aware ( not sure what) on my machine. After spending about an hour getting rid of the piece of crap, when ever I start up my pc it gives me an error message saying unable to load *files i've deleted*. I have looked through the regisrty to see if the key was still in their to delete but it was not, is there a windows boot ini or something like that which i also need to delete the entry from? is really annoying me now and any help would be appreciated. I have also run all the ad aware spyware that is listed on this site but still no ggod :-(
Im not sure exactly what the problem is but possibly running a registry cleaner such as CCleaner (free @ ccleaner.com) or Registry Mechanic ($ @ pctools.com) would delete any leftover registry entries??
I have run ccleaner and registry mechanic and it still comes up when i start up my PC. I might just re format it as its bugging me now!!
try ... free avg anti virus.... ad aware and see what happens... if you want to get the best software it cost money but these are far the best free softwares. make sure to go to settings and it scans the entire pc.... oih and do this// start>run> " [bold]msconfig[/bold]" w/out the " " and go to the last tab [bold]start up[/bold] and the things that are the checked are the ones that try to run in the background when you log in to your profile... but do a screen shot and post it here .... typically that error you get is fixed when you UNCHECK the ones that have a path that shows noting... but its still checked. first i'd download those 2 softwares run them on the ENTIRE PC deep scanning yep each file and all that stuff. then after if that doesnt solve it then do the ms config.
