Program to compare two videos

    Sometimes I can get more than one copy of the same video clip from different sources and would like to compare them side-by-side on perhaps two screens. The way the TMPGen series of programs handles one video might be nice, but with two viewing screens and two "timeline" like displays.
    Any pointers?

    I know that Adobe Premiere (any version) has that option but it's quite a pricey program :(

    AVISynth: stackhorizontal()
    But they need to be the same res/framerate. You can resize, etc. in AVISynth though on the fly.
