I'm having problems with my burner (it won't burn anything faster than 1.2-1.3X when in the past it would go up towards 8x) and I need to find exactly which burner i have before I can start trying to find out the problem with it.

    Thanks

    Catfreak,
How do I go about installing the latest APSI layers? I remember the computer saying something about needing ASPI updates when I was having trouble playing a scratched CD, but since I was at work and wasn't able to get online I couldn't do anything.

    THanks

Tried re-installig the IDE and that did nothing. Having trouble with the ASCI thing- I downloaded but can't figure out how to install it. The file for XP does nothing when I click on it. Guess I'll play around with it this weekend.

One thing I noticed- When I run IMGBurn the info about my burned says:
    HL-DT-ST DVD+RW GCA-4040N 1.7 (ATA).
I NEVER saw the 1.7 (ATA) in the past. Could that be what the problem is?
