To answer your question I looked at the two downloading programs I currently use. Both have a scheduling function where you can limit, cut off or give it full bandwidth using a schedule. Reference software Bitcomet and Shareaza.

Another idea I had was to setup your downloading program so that when it launches it will download what you want and use a scheduling program to launch the program when desired.

I cant understand why people still use bitcommet, bitcommet seem to be unreliable with sceduals ect I prefer Utorrent much much better and you will find on most legal/other torrent download sites they will not accept bitcommet.... bitcommet is so so slow compaired and yes i know my spelling sux .... new to english

Does Utorrent allow scheduling, because that is what this discussion is about. How to download during the off hours.

    Thanks guys,
I Did find that I was really looking for a download manager.
Just didn't know that this is what they call them.
I chose "Internet Download Manager" Very very Easy to use,and works a treat.
Very fast, at least twice the speed of a normal mulit file download.
    Thanks for your help.

    John
