Why doent somone just write a program to acsess the harddrive straight from the computer without hotswapping? i dont know how to do that but some one would
You can access the HDD straight from your computer without hotswapping, after you get the eeprom file and then unlock your drive. The whole locked drive thing is pretty ingenious of M$. Really without that password the drive is useless (based on what I've read), because you can't even format and use it in your computer, without unlocking it first. The comment you made needs a little clarification.
