Hello, I hope this would be the right place to post this. Anyway, When I am backing up my movies I use msconfig to shut down all the programs in the background. Then I just open them as I go I don't restart all of them. My question is, and I am sorry to ask but I also shut down all of my antivirus protection and spyware and stuff. I get a warning that says it is shut off then the advice is to turn it back on. Where do I do that? Thanks guy's and please keep all the negitive remarks to your self I know it is elementary, but I just don't know how. ---zen-->
You should be fine to have all that stuff off if your just recoding and not surfing the net. So just ignore the warning that the programs give you about it not being recomened. After you backup your DVD restart the anti-virues and spyware programs or restart your computer so it will restart the programs you need. Do that before going back online.
So all I have to do is just start my aol and the anti virus will come on? See it does that and their is a message then that says that it is turned off. I guess I have to find what program it is and turn it on in msconfig?
If you restart your computer then it should restart the programs that need to run. The programs should be set up to auto start open windows startup. Dont you know what anti-virues and spyware programs you have? Find out what prograsm they are and restart them manuely if you dont want to restart your computer. If you have ran msconfig and uncheck them to auto start when windows restarts then you will have to enable them again in the msconfig options menu
Hey, larrylje or any one with knowledge about this. I have checked my task manager, and on it I have found some undesirable programs running under processes. When I check the Start-up.exe program they come up as trojans. They are not in the startup tab under the msconfig. Is it ok to right click on the process and delete or end process on the task manager? When I was about to do it, it said not to and it kinda freaked me out. What should I do?
