I have a WD 750 GB external hard drive I just used to back up my DVD's and wondered how I should store it. I want to unhook it and keep it in a cool, dry place like my closet, any thoughts?

Store it in a fire/water proof case! Once in a while hook up the drive and take it for a spin.

:~) I am sorry mate, I was trying to be funny. I honestly don't know if you should hook it up once in a while. Someone with hardware knowledge will maybe give you an answer. I know the gigantic terabit storage drives need to be spun.
    Cheers.
