My cousin got his ball photos on a cd and it came with some album viewing software which displayed the jpg files. But when you actually only up the jpg files from the cd(accessing them directly)they dont open. It just says no preview available, even trying to open into photoshop it just says that it is a invalid jpg file, its seems like its protected or like locked to be only used with the album software. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Yes they're probably encoded. Viewer program on the original CD decodes picture on the fly and then displays it.
