I was looking around in my software and noticed all this info about proxy's. i googled but it wasn't much help. all i seem to get is that it hides your identity. how can i use one of these. does this mean that i can download what i want and not worry about them finding my ip. instead it is just some public address that they find out thousands of people are using. anyone with a bit better description?
Yeah you can use a proxy to download annonomously but the downside is if you use bit torrent you cant seed back which means you will get banned from the sites you use , you could try peerguardian2 which protects you when you are downloading it is available from the software section on afterdawn or you could google it
thnaks. i have peer guardian 2 . hehe. i dont think i need a proxy then. i have seen you talking about privat trackers before. i just signed up to demoinoid since they are open for memebers. which trackers do you get the best speeds from, pirate bay's public trackers or a tracker like demoinoid. list some goods sites if you can celtic.

thnaks alot celtoc. i am already part or piratebay, demonoid, and now supertorrents. but since i have a realyl good connection ( 6mb down 1 mb up aka 620 kB/s down and 95 kB/s up) i want to be part of a site of people that actaully share and have good connections. what do you mean by "good ratio" like 1:1. or more like a 2 or 3.
