Hi. I have recently replaced a case and power supply for a friend. Its a Sony Vaio. But now it has a power management error press f1 or f2 at start-up. When taking apart the old system I noticed that the power supply from the old Vaio had an extra plug that goes to the Motherboard. On the MB it says PS fan. With new PS (450w) there isnt that extra plug. Im not a puter superman, but have learned a ton over the years. Ive chaged cases, motherboard, cpu's, cases, etc. With no problems. But this is a first for a Sony system. I guess that this is a sony thing after searching. But I couldn't find out anything on if there is a way to bypass this. System runs good for him after pressing F1. And dosent seem to bug him. But it has put that bugger in me. If I ever have had problems I can normally learn about it and fix it in a few days. But this one has got me.

Don't know if there is a way to get around this without sony stuff. But afterdawn has been such a great resource, just thought I'd give it a try. If any one needs any more info I'll post it too.

    Thanxs in advance.

disable the power management in the bios if it is there.
