PS2 backup dvd ( dvd-r media and software)????

    hi guys, i'm gonna start to backup games, so can u tell which dvds i need (dvd-r or dvd+r) and which media are the best ( i heard that verbatim are the best but i wanna be sure) and also which software is the best, for the moment i have RecordNOW, alcohol 120%, DVDXCopy are those one are the best or there is other software better then those one
