I recently purchased a ps2 mod chip. I want to burn backups. Do I need a dvd drive (Im pretty sure I do but just making sure) in order to burn a copy with my burner. Also is there any formatting that needs to be done to the cd-r.
Hy... Excuse my poor englis (I´m spanis)... Of course you need a DVD-R. I have a Pionner A04 and I make a lot of copies of PS2 DVD games, and all work ok.. I use the PrassiPrimo DVD software and is very easy to make it..... You no need to do any format. Select the DVD source and make an image to your HDD, then select the DVD copier and the image and burn it. that is alllllll...
Over 475 Playstation2 Game backups. *removed*by*webmaster* Fast shipping, good selection, great service.
Hi Sirrick, the best DVD media for ps2 is the Pioneer. I use Traxdata too, and have 2 or 3 problems in a pack of 50.
If you look on the back of the original PS2 game box, you will either see the cd-rom logo or the DVD-Rom logo. If the game is a cd-rom game then you can copy it just like any music cd. You do however need a DVD-R to make exact copies of DVD based games, as psxpc said.
psxpc. where did you get PrassiPrimo DVD?. I am planning to buy a pioneer A05 to backup my DVD games.
I have a PS2 with the messiah chip build in. I can make 1:1 copies of DVD based PS2 games with my HP DVD+r/+rw 200i. They work excellent ! I burn them to DVD+r with Nero. No Problems so far...! CD-rom based PS2 games burn them with CloneCD on a regular CD-rom. The messiah rules.... !
