just download the file and follow the instructions. I explained it the best I could in the read me. So if you dont understand that then read it again and again until you do.

    Hi Stinky

im new to all this, but i have the new slim ps2. and i want to be able to play snes roms. I think i understand your instructions, but im not too sure exactly what i need.

you dont need to give any instructions, but could u just list all the software and hardware i need so that my slimline ps2 can play roms.

i dont have anything except the actual slimline console and a few games.

    thanks

"(Pre Install) This Disk has the SNES emulator, Sega Master System Emulator
as well as the Genesis Emulator on it. You will find that the folder
"BOOT CD" has 3 folders in it named after the 3 emulators. dump all your
roms in the correct folders so they can be burned on the CD. Once you have
done this go to the burning steps below"

are yo kidding me? there is no folder that is named "boot cd" no folder named up after the emulators... so where do i place my roms?

    xzwer,

There are ONLY 2 initial folders to choose from on the package.

    ALL IN ONE DISK

    and

    READ ME FILES

Assuming you may have decided they 'could' be in the read me files folder you may have opened that and saw nothing!

The next logical step ( to me anyways) is to open the ONLY other folder. Its called ALL IN ONE DISK. INside there you will find the said folders. I noticed this last night to be a typo still lingering from my old set when it was called 'BOOT CD'. Thank you for pointing that out in NOT such a nice way. But when I get time it will be changed.

    Bert,

You need a Cd burner, The latest version of Nero, and a blank CD. You also need to download ANY roms you want to put on the CD.

For the PS2, you will need some way to play backup games.

    THATS IT!

Stinky, quick question. I can't figure out what buttons correspond to the program to load, and I can't find that info in any of the readme's or your website. Can you direct me to the controls or post them here?

Another question, where is the .cnf file I need for the image for Swap Magic users? I looked in all the folders and found the Dummy and boot.elf files but no the .cnf file.

Nevermind, I figured out that the system file is the .cnf file.

Wait, I'm confused. Do you just add the dummy, boot.elf, and system files, create a .bin, and add that to the compilation? Or do you remove the dummy, system, and boot.elf files that stay there but keep the .bin and .cue? Or do you create a .iso file of those three files? Or do you create a .bin or .iso file of all the files?

yes i have figured out that it was all in one disk folder.. but in that folder there is no other folder in it.. just elf files, and something more.

if the folders are not in that aio folder then they have been deleted on your system or you have a funky version from somewhere else.

Download it again, or just make the folders. they are not needed, but there to make it organised a little better.

You do NOT need to create an image or iso or bin or anything of the sort to make my cd. Just follow the instructions EXACTLY how it says. I am pretty sure I never mention anything about an image. Read as you go through and it will all make sense.

can i also burn movies in the boot cd of yourse? and where must i place them? somebody said in another tread in afterdawn that divx and xvid was mpeg-4 so every thing that played divx should also play xvid.

I have never tested Xvid. If they all worked in an mpeg4 player then you would NOT need to download a special player for each one though. The codecs are diferent so I dont think it will work. Try it and see.

But yes you can put them on my aio disk as well. Thats why some people do it on dvd, you can fit 3 or 4 movies on there and still have roms and ever4ything else you want as well.

Ill answer this one for yah stinky
No it doesnt matter what folder you put it in but it would be abit easier for you to put it into the folder labeled Divx Movies or just make a new folder named that if it isnt there.

Im sorry to be mean, but this thread is completely filled constantly with absolutely stupid posts that have been answered @ least once. Do stinky a favour and actually download it, open up the file and give it ago before asking these repeated questions

Are you lying on purpose to throw me off or did you not update your readme recently? I took this fragment from you INSTALLING THE ALL IN ONE DISC.txt:

"Note to people using Swap Magic discs to boot:

Although I think its pointless to use my bootcd with a swap magic disk some people still use it.
So I will explain why you "may" not be able to have it work for your the first time.

Your disc NEEDS to be in the proper format. So you need to use CDGEN and make an image of the disc.
Make sure that ALL your roms are in the correct folders first. Then open CDGEN. Put the DUMMY file in first,
then the .CFG file, after that put the BOOT.ELF file. Then you can have them in ANY order you want after that.
Remember that it still may not boot 100% of the time. But it will work most the time.

I have not got or used SM ever in my life, so I cannot provide any more support than what is above.
If you still cant figure it out then get a mod chip that does direct booting, or give up!"

I followed your instructions EXACTLY like they were and they were to create an image, so I did because as I've stated at least twice on this topic I am a Swap Magic user.

And BTW, I burned the disc succesfully (it has all the files + a .bin and .cue of the dummy, .cnf, and boot.elf), but for some reason the configurations won't save on my memory card. I tried on three PS2 memory cards and two PS1 memory cards, but it always said "save failed". What am I doing wrong (or what did I do wrong)?

yes i have tried to burn it now.. and a blue screen appears in right corner it is written lauchhelf v3.4, and the only things i can do is go into the configuration but my roms did not appear.. i also had to make a folder for each emulator system cause it di not follow with the file i downloaded from YOU`RE site. so what to do? i used cdgen and burned the file in right places but the thing about the folders is a little weard since you say that you aleredy have placed them there.

Now you need to go into my read me folder and read the one about launchelf. You have succesfully made the disk, you just need to configure it. Also read the special note about how to make it save your config when you are done.

    You are almost there.

I did not realize you were using sm. Also since my latest fix it is NOT always neccesary to make an image. Some people need to, others dont. I have no idea why this is because as I already said and you posted as well.....I do not own sm and have never used it. So I dont/cant offer much support for it.

But if you are in launchelf then all you got to do is tell it what buttons you want to assign to each emulator and then run the emu. You will find your roms after you have run the emu. Launchelf wont run them for you.

I have no idea how, but the disc configured itself and now it saves to my memory card normally...odd, but what the heck, it works!
