My ps2 games will not spin, the browser screen comes up but goes and the laser tries to read the disc makes clicking sounds but goes to the 'disc read error' screen because the disc does'nt spin. I checked the ribbon to the motor looks fine, can anyone tell me what the problem could be? Thanks,
Does it spin if you take the lid off and move it with your hand? Put a disc on there and give a spin, and as Bob Barker says "make sure it goes all the way around"
I had the same problem when I tried to copy FIFA2005 .. the laser could not read it properly, and jumped which caused the "clicking" sound.
the clicking sound you hear is most common with a bad burn or shitty media,period, with some extreme cases where the laser is dead/worn,buts its unlikely what disk's are they,? what game is it? and what speed did u burn it
I put a disc on there and I can spin it manually but will not move on its own. The laser eye will move and try to read the disc but I guess maybe the motor to the spinner is dead I don't know what else to do.
