Hey guys, I know It's rude asking for help in my first post and I know you hate Forum Leechers but this Site has the most helpful Moderators and Members!

So if you are willing to help me...

    Ok, this is my problem:

    1. My Ps2 takes a long time to load when reading DVD games(Pirated)
    2. When Playing God of War, it freezes during the gameplay and movies.
    3. I recently bought a Need For Speed Most Wanted and it takes long time to load when in game.(As usual, Pirated)
    4. When Playing Call of duty, the sound effects would repeat over and over when in-game.

my classmates usually doesn't experience these things...

I don't know what you mean about how is your PS2 modded, but, They Soldered something inside and I'm not sure what Modchip is it.

My PS2 is a Limited Edition White Version 16 SCPH 7900-1

This is what happens when you buy pirated games.

They probably work fine on the PS2 by whoever made them, but may not work for your PS2.

Better to rip your own and burn them to good quality media.

So its either the media they are burned on and speed, or try cleaning your laser.

    Try burning at 4x speed
    1x is way too slow

    and about the background programs...
does it still affect the burning process?

    Background processes running while burning:

    Kaspersky internet security
    Yahoo Messenger
    Mp3Player
    Internet Download manager.

Depends upon your computer and specs. The Kaspersky is fine too be running.
It is best to just let it burn with no other programs open. With imgburn it locks access to the drive, so nothing should interfere.

For me I have browsed the internet while my discs are burning and I have no problems.

OK, I'll just quit some of the programs but it seems that the only problem is the Media, I think.

Ritek was the manufacturer for the Imation so it could lack quality.

Doe your PS2 play Original DVD games fine.

Perhaps its your laser. Try cleaning it.

Take a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol
dip the q-tip in the rubbing alcohol, but not so its dripping and rub gently but firmly in a circular motion for about 30 secs.

Then take the other end or a dry q-tip and dry it in the same way for about 6-8 secs.

My Original game "Singstar" is stuttering also at the intro =(
and the Backed up game "black" will stutter also at Mission briefings!

I cleaned it with a rubbing alcohol and q-tips but no avail.

    what should I do? I can't enjoy my PS2.

Does the Mod-chip has anything to do with the stuttering?

I had used MAGIC DVD lens cleaned but ONLY cleaned my lens from dust and nothing happened.

I'll try Verbatim later cause my Mom will go out and buy me some of them.

And I'll Also Try 4x Write speed cause i did it on 1x.

    in addition:

    The original disk also stutters!

so does that mean my laser is weak? cause i just got my ps2 a month ago.

Original disk will play perfectly/eaxcellently when not modded.

    Buying DVD-R's now =D

    Im buying:

    Verbatim
    Tayo yuden
    Maxell
    Sony

BTW, im using my phone. =))

Yes the modchip install could be the issue also, but at the beginning you said you didn't know which modchip you have.

We can't help you without knowing that.

The only way to know is to look inside the PS2 or take it back to whoever installed the modchip and tell them what is going on.

I managed to take a look inside my ps2, at the back of the motherboard and saw some yellow wires connected to the mod chip.

anyway, the modchip is Super-7 E17.

    thanks, awaiting for reply.
