Hi was just wondering are these types of media ok to play ps2 backups. Verbatim DVD-R, Verbatim DVD+R,
I use CMC Verbitam DVD-R, man they work great. Tot tell the truth, Ive never had a bad burn on a Verbitam. Highly recommended. Jin666
Verbatim are my favs i try and use V's all the time when backing up a game, TDK are also very good. Never used taiyo yuden but i here there a lot of fakes floating about
Hi, I'm new here. I know questions like this one have likely been asked a million times(and by me in another topic about 2 hours ago...): I am using TDK 8x DVDR discs and just did a default dvd rom copy of a ps2 gamedisc on a multimedia dvd copy/edit program. The burning process went over fine and the disc was at first recongnized by the system but the game was lagging bad just at the menu, and freezes during gameplay; after reset the system won't even boot to the menu. Based on what I saw on the topics regarding dvd ps2 game copy here, I guess I'll try to use one of the programs that I can download from here like the DVD Decrypter, and also lower the speed when copying. Should I lower the speed to about 2x when creating the image file or both ways? Is there anything else I should be doing? or should I be using a different type of DVDR? thanks
what burner ya got? cuz speed doesn't matter. it's the error count. for instance i burn a tyg02 at 12x with 47 errors. works better
I'm using the HAMMER 16X16 DBLYR DRIVE Write SpeedsVD-R: 16x Max, I don't know much about it as the only reason I got it was to back up ps2 games and so far none have worked well...
that's a weird burner never heard of it. as long as you don't get more than 150 imo pif you're fine. i average 30-90
