    I have a question.

    Wud any of u guys ever buy a used ps2 with a 20 gig hard drive (with no hd loader), 1 controller and a memory card for $ 150.00 Canadian.

    i don't know about that one. a 20 gig hd is not even worth putting in a ps2. you would only be able to put about 5 games on it.

    you do know that you can't use it like a memory card right? you can transfer games to and from the memory card, but you cant save your game on the hd while your playing it.

    Yeah I assumed the in-game menus are not going to save to the HDD, but I could use it to store saves, then transfer them to my MC for playing/saving in-game right?

    there is no software that i know of that allows the transfer of files from a memory card to hdd in any way.
    hdadvance/hdloader do not have that functionality.
    no ps2 game provides for saving to hdd instead of memory card.
    it would be very, very useful, though. someone might make a few quid out of it.

    You can use a program that is run from the memory card called 'PS2Menu-K'. It lets you copy saves to the HD when its loaded. its kind of a browser for the memory card. if you have hdloader on your memory card it can be run from here too. you need a PS1 bootdisc that is listed with the save. My site (link below) shows how to get this program onto your memory card with Action Replay MAX with no mods needed to your console. it eliminates the need for modchips, swap discs, case mods aka flip top, or any other modifications. no need to open your ps2.
    this isnt just a spam post by the way, I am known on another forum for making the first method of cheating with HD games. I am happy to answer any questions on the guides on my website.
