I have a PS2 with a faulty cd drive, what i want to do is install a HDD with linux on it and use it solely as an mp3 player hooked to my amplifier, can this be done and if so what do i need and how do i get the ps2 to boot from the harddrive? thanks in advance.
its no possible to put the pc version of linux on that hdd, that won't work. But other wise i think there may be a media player that can be booted from your memeroy card. Originally a hhd, a ps2 and network adaptor were released with a special ps2 linux. so the rest is up to you i have put in my two cents
