I can confirm that the ones you are looking at Jumbo will work. Also the one we are using is model: ST3120022A. We will be putting a link to a compatiblity table soon.

Remember, if you have a PAL PS2 you need the PAL version of HD loader.

Thanks, boy141 for the completely useless comment. I looked in this thread for the answer, since it is only one of two that even have any comments in them in the last couple days.

I figured these would be the best places to look or ASK, since they were the active ones. I wanted to get the answer from someone who had actually used the program, not some speculation in an outdated thread.

My bad....perhaps you missed the newbie under my name.

BTW the HD loader will not save your progress on the Hard Drive. You will still need a memory card.

You might want to upgrade your DMS3. We used the Matrix premod and it works like beauty with the Hard Drive.

    I'm runnin DMS3 2.0 2.2 upgrade.

Do you guys know if maybe DMS3 turns off after the initial boot? Maybe that's why it doesn't work when ejecting/inserting a game on the HDLoader screen.

    Does Matrix do that?

I'm try to downgrade the chip to 1.8.

    Thanks.

Just tested all the modchip's compatiblity to the HD loader:

    1) Matrix Infinity ___________________works like a beauty

    2) DMS3 V2/V9 (v 1.8 flash)___________Some delay in loading HD loader (Trying to figure out why).

    3) Magic V/3.1 series_________________works like a charm

    4) NEO 2/4 (the new direct load NEO)__works like a charm

yeah it is. it's a premod. works very good. updaters work, dms tools, etc.

i'm gonna try to downgrade it to 1.8 and then install some backups.

    thx.

So there is no way for the HD Loader to store backed up games without using a Modchip? Has anyone test slidecard or fliptop?

You can use slid card but Slid Card only work for some games plus forcing the tray out all the time is not good for your PS2 and you are going to break it over time.
