Hi, I have installed a Modbo 760 on a 77004 and it seems that the laser encounters some problems. The laser doesn't move from top to center alone. The problem is that its doesn't read DVD-backups well. I have to move the laser from top to center to read the laser, and it's makes some noise when its starts. Sometimes it's reset's by itself. Do i need to apply the summone fix on this model 77004? I read that optional not indispensable for this model. Thanks in advance.
That model PS2 does not need any laser fix. It is a V15 PS2. Did you have problems with the laser before you installed the modchip.
I guess you will have to recheck your soldering points. Check your Bios manager if you have one and make sure settings are correct. Did you put an Original PS2 DVD game in, and does it play?
I will check the soldering points. The original runs ok, but i guess that is normal because its has a better reflexion.
Ok well thats good the Original runs fine. Are you sure the modchip is enabled. Maybe it became disabled. You could check that first. Press START on Controller. Or like I said press circle + Triangle when booting up to see the config menu. I guess otherwise then you will have to recheck soldering connections.
Yes the modchip is Enabled, otherwise it would;t play back-ups; i have entered the config menu, its semms ok. I will check the soldering points when i will be rested. Thanks for advice.
