Anyone got this working with their ipod? I have tried but it won't work for me. I realise that if I formatted the ipod it would. Do you think it is security on the ipod stopping this, or just that the AR Max doesn't support an ipod?
hi, could anyone tell me if it is possible to use the armax to put elf's on the memory card and use to boot apps and backed games of hdd without a mod, or does it only read memory card saves or something weird like that
Yes its called memory card exploits http://members.shaw.ca/PS2_BOOT_CD/, but without a mod of some sort you have no way to load a backed up program even from the memory card. If you already dl'd the backup to ur PS2 HDD, then yes you could play it, but that would require FTP or taking the HDD out of th PS2 and putting it into your computer put the game on the HDD and then put it back into your PS2. I'm assuming though you have HD Loader or Advance to play back ups off your HDD??
I suppose you could download "Cog Swap Loader" and do the "Knife Trick" that works & its free. this is for knife trick & AR/GS: http://www.cousinfizz.4mg.com/about.html [bold]ps:[/bold] use codebreaker it works better with pendrives
Hi, I think the problem people are haveing with AR MAX and save files corrupting their mem cards is because of crunching and decrunching. When you download a save file to your pen drive stick it in PS2 and decrunch to memcard, when you dont want the save anymore simply delete it from memcard keeping the crunched file on PC, or you could crunch it back to pendrive, but dont copy an uncrunched save file to another device , thats where problems accure. As for copying AR Max EVO original disk, use Alcohol 120% to make an Image file on HD, make sure you enable laserlock before you rip the disk, it takes a while to read the bad sectors at the begining, but it will eventualy make the image file, bad sectors are only at begining of disk, probably about 5-10 mins to read bad sectors. BTW, My 1gig pendrive works fine with action replay max evo
Well, i did the image with Alcohol120, but it can't regognize my CD writer!!!!!! So i burn it with Nero, and ended up with another uselless toasted CD.......... It simply doesn't work with SwapMagic 3.0........ Anyone got a WORKING way to make it or a way to download a image of AR MAX EVO???????
If you have made the image file with Alcohol 120% just load the image file into Alcohol's image drive and use nero to copy the image drive to disk, that should work, I think :/
is it possible to play mp3 and video files on a usb mass storage device through the usb slot on my playstation 2, like if i had tv show videos on my mass storage device and then plugged that into the usb slot on the playstation 2
I know with the mp3se app you can use the mass storage device to play mp3s from the usb device. you need a modchip if your going to use mp3se...only for mp3s of course ;-)
Does anyone have an iso for the software needed to use the jumpdrive? AR EVO or something, somebody said.
Well, i might have it.... I finally managed to get a working copy of AR MAX EVO, so, if interested, just drop me a line.......
Ar max wont recognize mp3s and avi files on my usb mass storage. But it recognizes it when i backed up my memcard data to it. Why wont the max media player read my media files? And by sayin usb mass storgae i mean an external HDD that i can play stored ps2 games using usbextreme.
Hello mates! I recently got an image of the Action Replay MAX Evo. It contains two files, one is *.sub and *.img. It was said to burn the *.img file using Alcohol 120% and i did so, but then this pop-up comes up saying that: "Note: Because an unsupported image file format is being used, you should manually set the track format, block size and other information. You MUST do this to record the image file!" The choices are: Track format: 1) Data Track Mode 1, 2) Data Track Mode 2 Form 1, and 3) Audio Track. By default, the selection is: 2) Data Track Mode 2 Form 1 Block size: 1) 2352 2) 2048 3) 2336 By default, the selection is: 1) 2352 There are two tickboxes for: 1) Data was scrambled already 2) Data contains EDC/ECC info sections. By default, both of the tickboxes weren't ticked. So, i burned using the default selections, but my PS2 couldn't read the burned CD. Please help me ppl!! Tell me how i should burn this image! Ppl who downloaded this image file, they're telling its successful! Btw, i have a PAL PS2 Slim.. So i downloaded the PAL version of this Action Replay MAX Evo..
Well I've read this whole topic and it seems like others are having the same problem I am, but I'm wondering if anyone's actually come up with a solution? I'm running a copy of AR MAX EVO and trying to copy files to my Sandisk 256mb flash drive. When I insert the drive it shows up as being accesible, but whenever I try to copy saves to the drive from my PS2 memory card it gives me an 'unknown error' when it gets to the writing portion. I've tried formating in FAT and FAT32, both with no luck. I've also tried this with a Sony flash drive with the same results. It seems like it /must/ have something to do with the formating of the drive, but I've tried other suggestions from here (HP USB formatter / USBoot) all with no luck. If anyone's got a sure fire solution please post it for those of us struggling!
Ok, I think I've found what I needed, but I just dont know what to do. My friend just gave me his Max Drive for no reason. So now I have the max drive, but I was thinking of getting some game saves, but I found out you needed the ARMAX disc or something. My ps2 is not modded or anything, but I was wondering if I could still burn whatever I needed to have my ps2 recognize my Max Drive. I saw that I need to use Alcohol 120% to burn some kind of image or something, but that was with backups. So right now I'm very confused. I just need to know if I can still get my ps2 to recognize the Max Drive without the original disc?
