Gurm, ARMAX EVO recognises my flash drive but it won't read whats on it or copy saves from my mem cards to it even after formatting with HP tool. http://www.fcenter.ru/images/whatnew/2005/mar/17/transcend.jpg This is the exact same flash drive I have except mines 256mb.
@ Gurm, I've used my PNY Attache 512mb flash stick out of box and it won't work with my PS2. I will try out the HP formatting tool though. I'll edit back with results. Nope, it doesn't work. I formatted it with the HP formatting tool and used the FAT file system. The Memorex one I showed earlier works out of box.
Ok this might be a little off-topic, but does anyone know which cheat device is more reliable when it comes to transferring saves around - action replay max evo or xploder v5. I 've seen from many customer reviews that the ar max has a lot of corruption issues that f up the memcard. As for the xploder, well, AFAIK there isn't much info regarding its memory manager. Please get back asap anyone please as I really don't kno which one to go for!
Ok, I tried this and I think everything is going good.......until I swap it into my PS2. My problem is that the screen flickers like a very old tv does. I used Nero instead of blind write because the "write" button on Blindwrite5 was grayed out. I have been having trouble with my Sharkport lately, and every time I download gamesaves from a website; it ends up being corrupt. Dont know why because this was the first time I ran into a problem. Any ideas??? Thanks for any/all help!!
Yeah, the screen flickering like an old tv... is probably because your AR MAX is in PAL and you're in NTSC, or vice versa!
Thanks for the help, turns out all I had to do was turn the SwapMagic to NTSC and it worked fine. However both my PS2 and AR Max are NTSC. So I didnt think that I needed to do this. Oh well, it works finally. Thanks again.
ssj4V posted a link on to* rapidshare for Action Replay Max* Evo and I was wondering if you have to use high quality CDs to burn it or will it work with any CD?
@ jaskaran LOL, thats what I thought too. I usually spend 2 hours of reading the forum per thread before asking a question. Grant it that some threads are extremely long, but hey....is it too much to ask to make an effort?
Hello guys have any of you know how to burn CD-r with roms for Pgen? I have Action Replay with a Pendrive but I am sick of my Pendrive I want to load the roms through a cd-r with roms!! Can any..?
So what is the conclusion? I am reading mix messages here, for everyone who is yelling "ALL USB KEYS WORK, JUST USE HP FORMAT TOOL", I tried it and it didn't work so I don't know what to say to that. I've had one usb key that indeed worked with it but I misplaced that..stupid me >.>;; Anyways, after 6 pages of messages I am gathering that : - AR Max or AR max Evo works - Not all USB keys work - Try the HP Format Tool
That's what I've been trying to tell the other guy who told me all USB keys work. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, and he didn't even repsond to my post.
I maintain that MOST if not ALL keys will in fact work, IF partitioned and formatted correctly. However, it would not surprise me if some CANNOT be partitioned correctly, and therefore will never work. *shrug*
no offense, but if you step back and reread ur sentence I think we are on the same page. I think the biggest problem is for the ones that can indeed get the blue icon to show up in AR max but are getting the 4GB + write error when trying to copy files onto it.
I always got the blue icon to show up. I have never seen a single key or AR Max combo that failed to produce the blue icon. However, not a single one of my USB keys was formatted/partitioned correctly out-of-box. Every last one of them needed to be repartitioned and reformatted in order to work... and every last one of them COULD be repartitioned and reformatted to work.
My contention is that there is some as-yet-unknown external variable in the equation that prevents your keys from working. I contend that all keys COULD work, but that something - not necessarily user error, I apologize if that was inferred - is preventing it.
