@ deatbeat they dont make a solderless ps2 i noe sum asian guy who can give u a mod chip for 150 for slim
I burned my ps2 game but when I put it in my ps2 it says to put in a playstation formated disc, does this mean I burned it wrong or that I need to install a mod-chip
Ok, I don't fell like screwing up anymore PS2's . I've already broken 3 (Third times a charm my ass). I know, dumb isn't even the word. Modding is my nemisis everytime I make a different attempt I fail. Each supposed easy mod (the Flip top, the PnP NoSolder Chip, Hell even the slide card...don't ask) ends in disaster. So I'm finally gonna save some poor PS2's life, save some money and get it done professionally. But I don't have a clue which chip to use. Or which companies are reputable. I ordered my PnP from Modchip.com only to find out the suck with a capital 'S'. Any suggestions for a total idiot besides , " Keep yer damn hands out of the PS2" ?
I live in South GA/ North FL, there is no China Town here. There is no nothing here...I Have to go to a different state go a good gaming store or a repair shop.
I did, hince the flip top and slide card fuckups. I totally ruined the drive tray on my first run PS2 <sniff sniff>. I should stop being such a cheap bastard. I guess I'll just fork up the cash for it. Man am I glad my BDay is coming up...
I was thinking of going for the whole HD Advance or whatever route, but there seems to be some compatibility issues I don't want to bother with. Besides, if I'm gonna fork out the cash for a HDD or a HD and the HD Advance program I might as well just get the mod. It'll run the same cost in the end as far as I see.
Scince your b-day is comming up you should save the money, sell your ps2s on ebay to make quick dough and then buy the XBOX360,ohh yah keep it easy on the swearing its against forum rules
or you could do as he said and save your money for a ps3, whichever suits your fancy (i'm saving up for ps3 first since the early of models might not have hd-dvd players (so why get the 360 just yet?))
