Does anyone know if you can replace a PS2 dvd drive w. a different dvd drive like you can with a xbox? ANYONE?
with a diff dvd drive, like a standard dvd drive? no. but you can replace the lens, and possibly the whole dvd unit, but itd have to be from a specialty shop or possibly ebay.
I just wondered if anyone has tried connecting a computer dvd drive to ps2.I know that ps2 doesnt use a computer type IDE cable as an xbox does. Maybe I could house a ps2 original inside of a computer drive case?
maybe you can house it in a standard dvd drive, but i personally think your asking for too much. but knock yourself out.
