PS2 problems

Hey guys, my PS2 doesnt really seem to want to read any discs. I tried many games and movies it just doesnt read. It keeps saying disc error and its not because my discs are dirty. What is the problem and can I fix it without sending it back to sony because it is too expensive.

 

Either your laser is dirty, or it's burnt out. That's all I can tell you.
