i have a slim ps2 70004 modded and hdd80gb seagate ide (not usb) i have formatted and installed games throgh winhiip tool,but when i connect that hard disk to my ps2 it shows a black screen only,i saw people installing some software through memory card( path is badata/system/dev2) they install it only once, after installing that my harddisk works fine in my ps2 showing all the games list and all .what is the software they are installing through memory card(i have a bootable memory card with free mc boot in it)
When you installed fmcb 1.8 to the memory card, did you not include HDDLOADER.ELF You should be able to see the game list fine just running HDDLOADER.ELF Dev 2 means loading ELF files from a HDD, usually used with a modchip installed. Dev 1 is booting from memory card, so just like fmcb I am not sure what you mean about installing something to badata-system/dev2 I can't say I have heard of that.
