I had opened my ps2 slimline so it works with mods,and I was watching a movie the movie froze I did what I usually do so that the movie would'nt start over I popped the lid up wiped the movie down and put it back in my ps2 slimline the spinning thing was spinnin but I didn't push it down so it sounded like it was like stripped or somethin. I cut the game off out the disk in it would'nt work. The disk just jerks like it want to spin but doesn't.I tried mos later it worked once tried again nothing,still making jerks like it wants to spin. Can't find warranty or receipt everything else is fine just that the spin thing just jerks and doesn't keep spinning can anyone help Me???
i think your laser has gone and you'll need to replace it ive had this problem with my slimline also quite a while ago.
