    My ver 7 loves +r media.
    The problem is you are using cheap media.
    I use verbatim and fujifilm +r and have never had a problem.

    The following list is in preference order.

    MXLRG01, MXLRG02 = Maxell = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    MCC = Mitsubishi Chemicals = (-R)<-----------------VERBATIM MY CHOICE #1
    TDKG02 = TDK Corp = (-R) ... be aware of unbranded fakes
    TAIYOYUDEN or YUDEN = Taiyo Yuden = (-R)<--------------FUJIFILM (made in japan) MY CHOICE #2

    cheer guys i mucked around with different disc types but the verbatim didnt even work, my imation disc seem to do the job for now ive even got gt4 on one but midnight club 3 loads painfully slow, and the strange noises seem to be fading.
