Hi, I am trying to find a cheap solution merely to play burnt games on my ps2 v12. I don't want the hassle of swapping anything and I don't have a gameshark. Merely looking for a cheap chip I can install; and don't know where to start. Can anyone help me out? Thanks :)

Well as you know...the V12 lasers are crap when a chip is put in. Hell, they are crap without a chip.

In any case, you will need to install an additional chip that is just for the laser. Search the forums or google for 'V12 laser' and you can get more details that way. As far as a cheap chip goes. The Duo series is perfect for low price budgets.

Duo is a decent cheap chip
    V12 needs laser fix
Modbo is a clone chip pretty good and cheap. Modbo 760, 530 and some other are easy to solder cause there are 10 points that u dont need wire for, so u have less wires to worry about crossing over and having bad signal... also get some flux to solder it makes life so much eaiser on ps2.

I'm selling a crystal 2.0 pro SLE if you're interested? A quick google search will tell you that this is by far the best ps2 modchip available. Let me know if you're interested.
