Looking into modding an old PS2, but none of the guides I find online match my PS2's info so I can find out what version it is and what mod chips it's compatible with.

    Model Number: SCPH-30001 R
    Serial: FU0563111
    Date Code: 2B

It has the electrical warning stamp on the bottom and 8 screws, so it looks to be version 4, but whats with the date code and weird serial?

Thanks to anyone who can help me clear this up!

Try this guide. It will require you to open up your PS2 and look at the motherboard for identification, but it should help with your unique problem. I've never seen/heard of a model number like that. So the other identification techniques in that tut should help.
