I have a 42inch plasma and when I hook my PS2 up to it the picture does not fill the screen. It will leave black bars on the sides. I have read that you have to be careful about burn in problems with plasmas. My questions are will I get a burn in problem with the screen not completely filled? Will the display area burn in and leave the black bars on the side? My TV is a Phillips and supposedly has a feature in it to prevent burn in. Is there a way to make the PS2 fill the screen? I have tired the auto setting on my TV, the 16X9 feature on the PS2 and nothing works. On the same note, when I watch HDTV, I get the same problem sometimes on certain shows. The screen will not fill. Will this too cause burn it? Thank you for any feed back.

Check your TV settings menus. I know mine has about 5 different screen modes. Although when playing my games the default 16:9 fills the screen just fine, it is the movies i have to change it for to eliminate the black part at the top and bottom.
