Hi, I currently ran into a problem with my PS2-97001. It Wont Turn On. Do I need To Buy Something or is there an easy fix? Please Help.
Need more info. Such as, have you tried to mod it and now it wont turn on? Or has it just suddenly stopped working. Does the standby light come on when you turn on the main switch?
Good answer... Call Sony and tell them the situation.... Dont admit to any modding, if you have mods that cant be removed this wont work. Make sure to remove all mods done so it looks like its stock again. Dont worry about the warranty sticker... they dont care either. When you call sound very befuddled and have them lead you around while they ask questions. In the end you should be able to get it fixed by them for free, all you pay is shipping. They did it once for me.

Yeah its almost definately your power supply if it wont turn on at all. Do some research on google into PS2 power supplys and see what you can find.
