Not eating my words yet No!!

Still nothing has happened. we still cant run unsigned code so dont get to excited. I think we are still talking about a year of waiting for any use of these to run homebrew and iso's.

Chill peps.... Until its futher looked into it really means nothing... not too change the subject, but I know someone on here that wants a loader is "rich biotch" so hire a bunch of programmers and hackers and get this sh*t done...... then pm with a link to the file... and in return for your service, I will give you absolutly nothing.. I will play it though....

Today in iRC EFnet #PS3News our very own CJPC threw together a PS3 Debug PKG Test File displaying "PS3News.com!" (as pictured) in the PS3 Game Data Utility screen (the PS3 sees the PKG File as a 'GAME' File). If it is installed to a non-Debug console it will likely return the following "80029567" error as it is activating prior to downloading. We do NOT recommend attempting to install it to a retail PS3 console- do so at your own risk! It is intended for examination purposes ONLY.

this is worthless. what we need is a custom firmware produce on a dev kit from this firmware and have it signed somehow. how does the ps3 know if something is sony's or not? why cant we code it like they do?

we cant code it like they do cus they have a speical code which would take years upon years to crack, by the time we crack there code ps9 wil be out,

no, what the hackers need to do, like the psp for example is they crashed it, and in turn it disabled all of its security allowing for hiomebrew i.e iso etc

and then leadin to custom firmware, this stage is miles away, it ahnst even been on the psp for that long

what we are hoping for is for some sort of loader like devhook that will work using the ps3 hard drive,

this is good stuff we got here, definate progress, something will be found shortly
just a matter of days or week i rekon now

They have had attempts to crash the ps3. Such as that thing with gta san andreas but it was just a picture glitch. They're trying something with mp4's and trying to get the ps3 to crash from that. It's all about trial and error but something will happen soon.

I hope they crack it. I also wonder how they are going to get around the 4gb files only cause of the FAT32.
