Ps3 4.46 cfw jailbreak

    Hello All,

    Been reading lots and lots of info regarding the ps3 jailbreak. Some of it good, some bad and lots I do not understand, lol.
    Well I'm going to attempt it.

    I have come across a site that reckons you now do not have to install v3.55 and can go straight ahead with a latest 4.46 cwf.
    Is this true and am I ok to go for it.

    The ps3 is currently on system software v. 4.46 Model CECHG03xx 40GB phat.

    Any help massively appreciated.

    Also looking for a tutorial as I wanna put all back up games onto an external hair drive. Thanx.

    Looks like the version I have is a NAND, which I believe means it is hack able but not just by soft modding.

    No PS3 above 3.55 original firmware is hackable by softmodding. Some are solderless, but that is not softmodding, it's still a hardware mod.
