Ps3 Camping, Where & Why?

I guess it would depend on the people around you. I am sure that if you and your friend go and camp for a few hours, then you leave for your mid-term, then get right back they would be fine with it. I for one would be fine with it, only if you and your firend were only getting one PS3. Like I said, it would depend on the people around you. I am sure they would understand since it is for school.

well me and my buddy plan to get one for ourselves so that would be 2 gone...so i wasn't sure if people would be like coo with him like savin my spot while i leave for a little bit..

 

I don't know, good luck getting that to go over well with the people. I guess its not like to go out and eat for a couple hours, or any other time consuming task. Since it relates to education, they should be fine with it. Like I said earlier, just make sure it is ok with the people in front of you and behind you. Good Luck.

Yeah I wil keep my ps3 as well and only get one. Plus keep in mind dont go home because you couldent get a 60 GB version if you can get a 20gb version go for it later on you can just add a beter hardrive in it. Also yeah 25-100 is a big gap I bet they are just saying that so more people come and they end up only getting like 25.

 

Very true. I know, I'm getting any PS3 come Friday. I don't care if it is a 20 or a 60 GB, I'll just find a wireless USB adapter and possibly buy another hard drive.

if it was up to me I would buy the 20 g version and sell it when the units become more productive if I couldnt get the 60g then I would buy it with the money from the sell, since I do want it for its extra goodies . but at this point get any you can !

 

shouldn't you guys be camping right now? I just basically pulled a double-all-nighter to finish up school stuff (still working on it, actually) so that I'll be able to be at Best Buy by around 4. But especially anubis...I thought you were going to camp really early.

 

good luck camping at target. you better be the first 5 because most targets are only getting around 6 to 8 units. 10000 for the company. oh and you are only limited to one unit period. better chance at getting the wii at target stores because each store is getting at least 30 ea. with some stores getting 100.

 

yeah your right wolvie Target is not more focused on the ps3 launch since they are gettim more Wii's and doin those gift cards but they still are pushin the launch which is cool oh and they are gettin more than 30 thats average I got another Target thats gettin 60 and I read that some were gettin over 200 in different citys from a leak but check this out guys lol this is sick! its all the campers , a nice long video that I havent seen yet enjoy .

i actually drove by circuit city earlier and there were already 7 people in line. naturally after i went in the store to find they don't have any games or controllers for sale, i stopped and asked them how long they had been there. the first person was there since 6am(older man) then there were about 3 who were all friends that had been there since 9am and the rest...anyway i asked if they were there to get the system to enjoy or to resell. all but one said they are reselling it...such a shame...i am actually starting to think that maybe these stores and due to the shortages should start implementing the lottery system. prices on ebay i think are going to go through the roof pretty soon. i also seen they had a notice on the door at CC, that said something along the lines of due to the short supply, there was a misprint in our sunday add, which then went on to say they lowered their expected numbers for the ps3s...

 

Well, tomorrow is the big day, I hope everyone gets themselves a PS3.

Well, tomorrow is technically when you will stand in line, so nope, tomorrow is the day.

 

I'm going tonight. I am planning on staying at my local Circuit City until 9 or 10 then my dad will take over my post until the morning and until around 3 o'clock tommorow. Then I will wait until I get a ticket. Hooray, now I have to get my moms approval. Ohh Boy. Also, just incase no one checks the store developements thread, there is already 40 people camping outside my local BestBuy, the Chapel Hill one (midnight release).

 

Yeah that is the risk you have to take.

Also Im going on the 16th at some time if I dont get it then I dont get it....
