Ps3 Camping, Where & Why?

Ok if some stores give out tickets so the people who have one can go in but what if a store dosent. Dose that mena there will be people charging at the door to get one?

 

Most likely, lets hope no stores aren't dumb enough to not hand out tickets

 

I have 7 people waiting in line for me right now at a best buy. They only wanted 100 each to stand in line. Every single one is going on ebay. I hope to make a killing.

 

I work at circuit city, and this morning when i showed up at 8 a.m. there was already four tents. and i feel bad for the rest of the people who are going to wait in line, because i have been told that we are only getting in 6. And when i left work, at 5 p.m., we still have not received a single game or accessory. it is going to get ugly friday

 

Handing out tickets is a smart thing too do so people who camp wont get scrwed over and camp for nothing. Now for this if you are camping but you odnt get a ticket then you can go home. That is actually a smart thing not dumb.

 

I'm back from camping, my dad has taken over. I was number 6 of 6 there at Circuit City. Some kids (3 of them) go to a nearby high school, and there are two people that go to the University of Akron. The kids that go to High School brought a TV, and PS2 so they can play and watch movies through the night. I'm glad there is a food source around Circuit City, theres Subway, KFC, Ruby Tuesdays, a Japanese Steakhouse, dollar store, etc. I am heading back out tommorow around 4ish pm so I can fill back in for my dad. Then he will be back around 9 or so, then I get to go home, sleep, wake up, go to school, and then wait until school is out to play my PS3. Can't wait only 35.5 hours until the PS3 will be officially mine. Its fun to camp, too bad my mom is a bitch about letting me stay overnight, too protective. Ohh well, I'll post more of how it went on Thursday night.

I'm glad I live in a small-ish town. I will be leaving my place at about 3 AM Friday morning to camp in front of a store. I doubt I will have any problem getting one.

 

Smaller city means less consoles.

@cinch that's what I was thinking, about dad having to stay there pretty much the whole time, it's gonna be alot of chores and good grades to payback.

 

Walmart has the PS3 on the display since tuesday which is weird to me. Maybe its fake and just the case. But they had THP8 and Marvel for sale already. But i see no acessories tho. They will hand out tics at 10pm in the store...i called them and they said that they will start a line at 10pm on the 16 at a secret location within the store. I guess you will have to walk around like at 9:45 and sprint like hell when the line location is given.

24/7 Walmarts by the way.

Dont forget Gamecrazy ppl think they arent getiing any Ps3's since they didnt do pre orders but they are getiing 10 where i live. They open at 7pm on luanch day.

 

Oh then 24/7 stores are no problem if they give out tickets no rush to the booth.

 

tomorrow cant come fast enough damnit.

 

I forgot about all of those 24hour walmarts.

lol im not worried about rush to the booth its more like rush to the line that passes out ticks...


But if my Walmart attempts fails at midnight i will have to go and scope out a few areas where the line is short and hope to God that i get a Ps3.

 

There is at least 10 people already camping out at the best buy near me for the ps3. There is still 36 hours to go!

 

I think Face is gone for now lol but Pollution you should gone and go man you still have a great chance to get one

 

So far there isn't anyone next to my Best Buy. My Grandpa lives rigth behinde the store so he can see the line form here sign from his dinning room. It is wweird they are asking people to camp in the loading area by the back door not front.
