PS3 Demand?

The "cores" contained in AMD and Intel's latest dual core processors are completely different than the synergistic processing elements contained in "the cell" processor.

Furthermore, I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see a pentium D or amd64 outperform "the cell", much less the new powerhouse dual core processors intel and amd have released.

nonetheless, I still think "the cell" could end up being a much better design than the 3-cored 360 cpu. The cell is really interesting. Actually, multicore processors in general are really exciting. (x86, etc.)

I did say equivalent though not that they were the same.A processor with 8 actual cores won't be around for some time on the pc and the cell is the closest thing to that.

I wonder how the demand will be on Ebay, seeing as if the 360 went above 1000 dollars, I can see the ps3 going about 1500.

 

I agree, also seeing the holiday season coincides with the launch. I would actually not be surprised if a ps3 bundle reaches $2000.

It would be insane, but the deamnd is going to be high and spoiled children are going to demand it just like with the 360 last year. It is going to get ugly. Damn, ill buy one just so i can pay a months rent with the profits!!

 

Yeah espesially at christmas.Which is why sony will release it november.If you want one at launch I suggest a preorder maybe you could sell it on ebay and make 300 bucks.

 

At least that!! I saw bundles of the 360 on Ebay for $1200!!! Talk about a nice chunk of change!

 

hell yeah 300 bucks profit is at least.I sell stuff on ebay I got a 100% positive feedback in over a 100 transactions.

 

I should look into that, have a few mint condition games, thats would be interesting 2 see how desperate ppl are

 

It requires a credit or debit card and some other personal info and you'll have to get a paypal account too.But for me it was worth it.I had some old baseball cards and I was suprised to see what I got for em.I dunno about old games though you might want to hold on to em for now.

 

Yeah, i have an Ebay account as well as paypal, buy stuff all the time, just never got into the seling aspect of Ebay. I dunno, Final Fantasy 3 and 7, as well as Chrono Trigger still in shrink wrap might be worth some cash. Ill go see if there are any on eBay right now, who knows....

omg the bundles will be INSANE! not to mention the bundles that come with the hdtvs like the x360 bundles.

 

LoL that is [bold]CRAZY[/bold]. It is pretty awesome and sick to see how far people will go just to get a console at launch. I would personally wait till their started to be enough to go around before i would pay 2500 bucks.
