Your not going to see PS3 systems on store self i sorry if thats what you tryin to get at svtstang there is too much demand for a PS3 system so they will sell all 3 million plus the little shippment they get in right after X-mas,before the new year.

well i hope those googliers dont just judge off of specs and assumptions. hell ps2 would not have been the number1 console if that was the case. it was fairly unanymous that xbox was graphically better. people should see before they believe

Does anybody read posts b4 they reply???? If u read what I SAID, I SAID that there is NO DOUBT ps3 will be sold out when its first released, NO DOUBT that it will be slod out through early 2007. ALL I AM ASKING is what is Sony gonna do to attract new customers. $600 is a lot of money to a lot of ppl, and something will need to offered to remain competeitve down the road.

i replied.....the more anticipated sequals are going to release within a year or so. sony's fanbase is HUGE and if you've been fans of series like FF, DMC,MGS,killzone, GTA, madden, warhawk etc, all the more incentive to buy. then there are other games like assassin's creed, heavenly sword, unreal 2007, resis'fall of man, heavy rain etc that look promising. sony has and will continue to have a strong game lineup. combine that with free online play, interchangable harddrives, downloadable games/content, backwards capiblities for both previous systems and it seems there is quite a bit to keep people interested. if in the years to come blu ray is the successor then yet again another added bonus. its really too early to wonder all the "what if" or "how to," but it seems they would have enough in their tank to keep people busy

Goods points hade, cant argue with anything u just said. Sont does have a great lineup of games, and thats the one thing im interested in. FFXIII will probably force me to buy the system, no matter how much i fight the urge;)

true, but thinking that way would say MS would definintly crap on sony due to their system being easier to develop for and them having the headstart so ...

"MS would definintly crap on sony due to their system being easier to develop for"

believe me its better having a system like the ps3 that is challanging. it makes ordinary people think "outside the box." like the saying says, if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen....those developers who find it too challanging will simply weed themselves out, and thus we will have better games for it. you can't sit here and expect me to believe this, if you say something like 'well if its too challanging for them, hell they will just put crap on the shelves...' im sorry but understand it is you and i who happen to persuade businesses. if they put shit out there, then don't buy it, and sooner rather than later those people will find themselves at the unemployment office. Consider this: what was the initial reaction to the boomerrang style controller?? what happend at E3 this year?? perfect example and believe me....they are listening.

ok...take this for example. sony ps3 releases in nov of 06. e3 was in may of 06. there is still one more large gaming convention left (TGS) which happens to be right around the time when companies like gamestop will begin taking preorders.

so what am i getting at??? well sony dropped several bombs at e3 this year...namely the price/packages/controller. no one can sit here and say if ps3 had the same killer showing as they had at e3 05, that people would not be complaining the way they are about things. why put all your eggs in one basket?? put on a nice show for E3 and release all that other stuff?? just wouldnt make sense.

so think about it...what other way to calm the waters than to have games like Devil May Cry or even Killzone present at TGS (along with others of course). it is all about marketing and creating hype. why create and use all your marketing points almost half a year (6 months) before your product is even released?? wouldnt it be wiser to hold off for a more reasonable time frame??? so like i said before...expect something good at TGS. if nothing else the Tokyo Game Show happens to be in JAPAN, sony's most loyal market.

ok,i'll give you that but i dont see Sony having anything positve to unleash.I see them dropping price of games which is said to be high which is bad, online info about price of some of the features which is also a negative. What can they possibly drop and im asking in a serious non-sarcastic manner??? As far as them releasing info the info they released was basic and didnt WOW anybody or do ANYTHING great. We found out price and they outlined some other things but maily people asre still in the dark on key issues and will be blindsided months before the consoles release.

anything positive to unleash??? online is still fuzzzzy for people like me, and i am eager to see what they have to offer(downloadable games/content/pricing). again an updated/newer killzone trailer would once again get people buzzing, kinda how they did with halo3, but hopefully better.

it would be nice to have the offical launch day lineup, along with scheduled upcoming releases. assassin's creed looked awesome at E3 and i think TGS may be a little too close for them to once again show something new, but then again if they did, im sure the impression would be similar.

you say sony released basic info, but i guess you might not have known how long the rest of us were waiting for that info to be finally revealed. believe me it was not basic. the controller redesign stirred up so much attention that, that too could not be something so "basic."

not to mention the true online capabilities such as its own browser, launch day games will be AWESOME more specs, much more playable games etc.
