Hello guys Im having this problem after i try to update to 3.55 the installation goes up to 61% then gives me the error i try a different HDD but the ps3 shits down after a min or so I try holding the power button and it shut off i read some forum and they said to disconnect the bios battery and format the HDD I did that and now the ps3 turns on then after a min it turns off any1 knows a way to fix it or is this ps3 junk now?
I have the same issue. Mine shows red light and powers on to green and then shuts down in 10sec. I am also seeking for help. Anyone please
Is it an old phat ps3? Could be that the psu is faulty. Or overheating, open the ps3 and take it apart and remove all the dust. If you arent good at opening electronics then just remove the top cover and use a vacuum cleaner with the narrow hose to suck as much dust out as possible. There are video tutorials on youtube on how to open the ps3 if you need help.
I seriously doubt it. Because it was working before. I think it is more of a software issue than anything else
