Ok so iwas under the same dilema as most of us who just want to play a decent footy game. I love pes always have and i hope some day we see a pro with full licenced teams and decent commentary with a fully working online sytem that works. until then im affraid ive moved over to fifa. why i hear you ask. i downloaded both demos last night and played pes 1st for 2 or 3 matches and to be honest it still doesnt feel right. ok the demo may not be the finished version but with the release only 2 weeks away how much tweaking can they do. the sound effects are crap the animations are ok but konami have again failed to sway me to stay with them its a shame but hey maybe if people dont actually buy this game maybe konami will realise they cant keep making just an ok footy game. the licences really make a difference now as the modders can only make a limited number of kits this means if your team isnt one of them you end up with a kit that sort of resembles it. fifa well what can i say the graphics,sound,commentary and the fully licensed teams are brilliant this time round and i hate to admit this i went and bought it today and oh what a game its not perfect but its nearly there. good job EA you have won me over for the 1st time in i dont know how many years.
ya i am in the same boat, confused to which one to get either fifa or pes. To bw honest i always enjoyed pes more. But this time i am confused ,will wait for reviews before buying one of them
ive played PES for 10 years and although pes 2008 wasnt that good i downloaded the new fifa demo and its pure garbage. I dont really follow footy but i like the games. Fifa is not even close to a bad PES game never mind a good 1. Pes 6 was a classic they need to take it and improve on it or they will lose alot of fans but as for fifa? pah! Kids play fifa men play PES.
i used to be a hard core pes fan, ever since this demo and the last game however, i can honestly say its sucks ass... all you do in pes is run threw ? thats poor fifa i h8 to say it is now a much beter game, you actaly have to play properly to win a game, not just run threw and blast it at full power into the top left hand corner...
Honestly, you need to play them both and decide for yourself which one you prefer. I prefer Fifa personally, but I'm not gonna say it's better because they are different to everyone, so really it's entirely down to you.
this season its fifa. i have had pes for the last 3 years and always argue with my mates it beats fifa lol but this year after playing the demos i say fifa is better and you get all the lisencing
In my view PES will ALWAYS be the winner, no matter how much tweaking fifa does will not sway my opinion. Fifa has everything over PES, except the most vital thing... gameplay. Some may dissagree with this though. I find fifa a much more pick-up and play game. While PES has all these hidden animations and tricks you can use while learning the game over time. I find that if i play FIFA with a friend that it will me a very tight game even though he is the one who owns it. With PES, he'll get his ass kicked 10-0 . But yeah i was a fan of FIFA, realised that licensing isnt everything, played ISS 2 and was hooked from then on =) So if you want Gloss then go with FIFA. If you want a game which takes some time to get used to and is very much rewarding when you get the hang of it, get PES.
Jesus christ it aint a religion! EA 4 ever? What are you 6 years old? Grow up man dont say silly things like that. EA make maybe 2 good games out af there entire catalogue. EA makes bad games and robbs you? EA forever? Whatever!
Haha what a fanboy. IMO ea make **** games. In fact the only ea game i have ever enjoyed is skate. They make their games all glossy with absoultely no substance. And btw i was playing fifa 09 on the 360 in our 6th form common room today... my god is the gameplay crap... it's still sooo sluggish. I still won . But yeah i think konami are coming back in full swing after 2 or so years of laziness. And this is just the start of the PES-PS3 era And pro is a game that grows.
