What's making the PS3 freeze in COD Black Ops or what's making PS3 Freeze? BTW sometime and it happen a lot of time, the Black Ops in zombie, when i play with other people and game start, it freeze(Black Screen) I waited few minutes(3-8 Min) and the screen was black... I have to turn off the Back(Instant power off) I lost some data(Currupted Saves)... Is there any ways to solve this PS3 freezing problem? This also happen to one of my friend's PS3 too.......

Its happening to mine too, sometimes when I boot up the system or boot up a game, sometimes when trying to watch a DVD. It was fine, but when the 3.50/3.51 update came out thats when the problems started.

Mine freezes now as soon as you boot up. And I really only use it for one game Gran Turismo 5. So trying to debate if its even worth buying a new console

Someone needs to hack the new firmware; that is the only way that sony will release firmware updates these days.

Its weird mine will freeze but I can still eject and insert disc. It wont freeze during a game. It'll just go black or freeze when booting up or in the XMB. I have a feeling its the firmware cause I had no issues before

Yeah, Im sure... it's firmware... New games get F*** up at first but pretty soon it's ganna get better with updates... Im guessing the new updates for games(Like COD black Ops update when i first insert it) it wasn't capable with the PS3 FirmWare i guess...

I think I fixed mine. I tried doing the update (v3.55) but would freeze at 18%. So I had nothing to lose, I did a heatgun fix and put it back together, booted up and was able to do the new update so hopefully with the heatgun fix and the new FW solved it. Even if I can get by till spring to buy a new one, just don't have the money to do it now.

Well, the problem is either your PS3(go restore settings - all settings, might be the problem if not format it unless you have other saves and dont want to format...) or it's Firmware, Please Contact PS(PlayStation) official site(I dont know it lol:D) if nothing works...

Are people having this freezing because of the jailbreak, or do people even without jailbreaks have this issue?

People here are without JailBreak(I think)... It's a game "Call Of Duty: Black Ops" have a problem or it's the PS3... Needed some help with PS3 freeze but not, it's not freezign on mine after latest firmware update...
