PS3 Games Without Rumble Feature how does it hold up?

well i have a ps3 and yeah at first i missed the rumble plus the control felt too light. but oh well i got used to it i dont really feel the difference. the motion thing is really cool. u can pistol whip someone in call of duty 3 if u actually do it with the control. so its alot better. when u are on fire in resistance u have to shake the hell out of the controller to put it out. its fun. as for the rumble. later on sony will add it on to it in order to make more green green. trust me. just like the ps one. with the first controls and then with the analog ones dual shock. sick huh.

 

rumble was great in high tention games, it gott a little repetative in almost any other game, and kinda just faded into the backround of a world i creat when gaming.

Also good point hade no PC games rumble with a mouse and it never took away from the experience I had.....

u must be kinding, u gotta be an idiot to buy a condole just because it has rumble. i personaly don't like rumble that much infact almost all the time, i always check if its turned oof before i play a game cuz it really piss me of.

buying a console cuz it has rumble is like buying a car cuz it has springs that alows it to bounce( a car looks cool boucing but u really don't need it to bounce, do u)an average car would still so the job(traveling)

 

Yeah I was about to say this. When I was playing motor storm at best buy I didn't even notice it. Actually, I wouldn't even have thought about rumble if my eye didn't catch this thread.

 

rumble just kind of melts into the backround in almost all games subtracting ones where rumble warns you you're hit. even in those, a red arrow on the screen with the screen all disoriented is sufficient for me.

 

the rumble feature is rather... umm, how can i put this... gay.

its nice sometimes, but its mostly a pain in the ass.

i've got a good idea! instead of rumble, they could use sharp blasts of air ( but then there would be problems considering the air compresser )... anyways, my idea is just a copy of some 3-D film... "honey i shrunk the kids" i think. they used air to blast your legs when rats were about the joint.

 

Rumble is a good idea but I dotn really care if they have it or not....

 

LOL, that would be strange!! it would also make it sound that you fart if you hold it to tight.

I personally don't like the rumble feature, I've had a Logitech wireless controler for a long time and I turned off the rumble to save the battery. I got use to it and then when I used a normal controller I didn't like it. So I think the rumble didn't make you "feel" like you were in the game anymore then zoning out while you play. Plus the motion feature in Resistance, were you have to shake the controller to get fire and the Chimara off you or in online play tilting the controller to the left to see the map and right to see standings, that's more interactive then vibrating. I like how light the controller is too.

 

oh i have an idea instead of rumble
u should get electrocuted, thats less annoying
and less boring.

 

lol... i wouldn't say its less annoying

but it does stop you from playing for too long, coz you will end up with a lot of blisters

 

I have to agree with everyone , I was one of those people that played the motostorm demo at Target and I say this .. Lol I was to amazed with the jaw droppin graphics that I didnt even have time to care about the rumble which is a pluss for Sony.

 

And the kiosk version of MotorStorm sucks compared to the newest build.

But it is better with rumble!
