At E3, a developer was asked when they where informed about the new motion sensing capabilities, they replied... a week and a half ago. They also have had to remove the rumble feature to incorporate the motion sensing, whereas the Wii has motion sensing, vibration AND sound built into the controller.
Its very cool. In Zelda for example, you pull back you're bow and you can hear/feel the tension through the controller. Think about it... motion sensing, rumble feature, sound built in... Think of the fun you could have with star wars, a light sabre!!!
yeah, nintendo have deffinatly done a good job, i mean right ow as wright this i am watching a video of someone playing metroid prime 3, and the controlls look awesome not to mention the game is also looking like so much fun.
I still can't fully decide if the controller's going to get tedious after a while, but i'm really hoping it's as innovative as they say it is. The PS3 controller isn't exactly 'designing the wheel', it would've been nice to see them do SOMETHING different *yawn*
well i think the ps3 controller could be a good hing for the system but for that price like you said they should have done something different.
Don't get me wrong, I once believed no controller could top the mighty 'dual shock 2'. But then, the sleek 360 controller came along. It feels better, fits into you're hand perfectly, doesn't have that 'plasticky' feel and generally blew the dual shock out the water. Now, they're basically revamping the Dual Shock 2 with motion sensing and nothing else. To top it all off, they've took away the dual shock function (because typical sony software/hardware made it difficult to program the rumble feature into games, the motion sensor is an excuse to scrap the rumble feature).
the boomerang lookin one wouldn't have been all that bad, but i like playstation controllers anyway so its not really a big deal.
well the last 2 controllers were the same so the third should be simular. thats y i know they were going to change it.
