ps3 on toslink or hdmi?

    for better sound on a ps3 with home theatre is it better to plug a toslink cable or plug the ps3 hdmi out on my home theatre hdmi in and finally plug the hdmi out on the tv.....so what is the best hdmi or toslink?

    they will both sound the same makes no differance

    It depends on what you want.
    If you're only going for stereo, DD or DTS, then it will make no difference, as David66 said. But, if you have a newer receiver that processes the HD audio formats, on the Blu ray movies, it must be with the HDMI.

    i have a new harman kardon receiver but if i go with hdmi, the ps3 will not directly be plug in the tv so will i get video quality lost?

    No.........
    With the newer receivers, you shouldn't see any video loss.
