The main thing you need to know about the XBR1 series SXRD is that it doesn't accept 1080p signals only 1080i. BUT - you will still get a 1080p picture since the TV does the conversion/deinterlacing from 1080i to 1080p. If you have the PS3 you need it to output 1080i and let the set do the deinterlacing to 1080p. Don't worry the Sony XBR1's do a very good job of converting i to p and I think you'll be satisfied with the result.
